State of Georgia Renewal of Authorization

Dr. Ben Sealy visited the campus and training site on June 25,2007 and approved our Authorization for 2007-2008 period.  Dr. Sealy spent several hours here reviewing student files, staff files and training material.

Crane Operator for the City of Milwaukee

The City of Milwaukee has contacted Georgia School of Construction about Crane Operator openings they have for the Port of Milwaukee.  Crane Operators are in demand across the United States, and we are contacted daily about openings that need to be filled.

New Advisory Board Member

Clayton Gardner, the Project Manager for Corrpro, has agreed to be a member of the advisory board for the Georgia School of Construction.

New classroom location

Beginning with the May 7, 2007 class-start, classes were held in our new classroom location.  With four large classrooms, instructor offices, and a media center, it is located less than a mile from the Extended Stay Hotel used by our out-of-town students.  The new classrooms will feature up-to-date media equipment to support the NAHETS requirements for training.

Georgia School of Construcion on Local Fox 5 Affiliate

The Georgia School of Construction, a NAHETS member school, was featured on the local Fox 5 Affiliate. Brett Martin, the Fox 5 “Road Warrior”, visited the field site early in the day to watch of the training exercises of our students.
Highlighted in the two-minute news clip was the fact that students come from all over the nation, from Maine to the Virgin Islands, to attend the Georgia School of Construction, with the intent of gaining various certifications in heavy equipment operations.
